Hidden Word ("we," "us," or "the app") is a Bible reading, memorization, and community app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider and are never visible to us).
Profile information. If you choose to, you may add a display name and a profile photo. Your display name is visible to other members. Your email address is never shown to other users.
Content you create. We store content you create in the app — community posts, replies, likes, private or shared notes, saved verses, highlights, and memorization progress — so your data is saved and synced across your devices.
Approximate location (only when you use the map). If you open the "Churches Near You" feature and grant permission, the app uses your device location to find nearby churches. Your coordinates are sent to the OpenStreetMap Overpass service to look up nearby places of worship. We do not store your location on our servers, and the feature only runs when you open it.
Photos (only when you choose). If you set a profile picture, the app accesses the photo you select (or the camera, if you take one). We only use the specific image you pick.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not show third-party advertising. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking.
Hidden Word is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Hidden Word includes user-generated content. We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You can report content and block users from within the app, and we remove violating content and offending users.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
